Project Brief

Eljl was approached by FMYI to create a new web presence for their online collaboration environment. They wanted a modern, fast-loading web presence that would showcase the abilities of their software while being built upon forward-thinking, standards-based technologies. The brief's one major requirement was that the site validated as XHTML strict.

Solution

Eljl jettisoned FMYI's old, table-based layout and concepted a standards-based, two column, fixed-width layout. Based on FMYI's needs, an intricate, three tier navigation system was implemented that would provide top level navigation to all pages in addition to a quick nav system that let their customers get to key information without having to drill too far down into the site. All of this was achieved, while maintaining their requirement to validate as XHTML strict.
