Project Brief
To raise awareness for National Drunk and Drugged Driving Month, UC Davis was decided to put out a poster explaining the dangers of drinking and driving and what the penalty for a DUI was in the state of California. The brief called for a fresh, artistic design that would not detract from the body copy. The term, “3D Month” was required to be a prominent element in the design.
Solution
A minimal, type oriented design was decided upon in order to bring the “3D Month” copy to the fore, while not distracting from the main body copy. The text (3D and regular) were arranged along with a set of leader lines to help frame the main body copy while leading the eye of the reader into and out of the poster with relative ease.
